Benjamin Langford (BFA 14 Photography)
Ben Langford currently lives and works in Brooklyn. He received a BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design in 2014. Awards and scholarships include: Silvermine Guild Arts Center’s Ty Hyson Photography Award (2009), Scholastic “Silver Key” Award for Photography (2009), Paul Krot Memorial Scholarship (2013), and the RISD Trustee Scholarship (2010-2014).

Kyra Chomak Lawton, RISD | CE Instructor has a bachelor of architecture from Cornell University. She is a two-time Eidlitz traveling fellowship recipient and studied in Europe and Scandinavia. She earned an MBA in entrepreneurship through a certificate program at Boston University. Kyra worked in architecture firms in Boston and San Francisco. Her interior design career began at the Orlando Diaz Ascuy design studio, and her love of product design blossomed at Williams-Sonoma where she was part of the design team that launched Pottery Barn Kids. As a designer and entrepreneur, Kyra founded two architecture and interior design firms: Lawton Design Studio and Kyra Ayn Home KyraAynHome.com, both focused on residential and K-8 school interiors. She is also the founder and creative director for the running-inspired lifestyle brand Women Run Inc. Women-Run.com
Kyra lives with her three children in South Dartmouth, MA.
Alyssa Adriance-Cordeiro, RISD | CE Instructor BA, Fine Arts, College of Wooster; Master of Arts in Art Education, Boston University. Alyssa is an entrepreneurial designer, artist and art educator with a demonstrated history of advising art, design and architecture students toward degrees at top-ranking national art and design universities. She currently consults on art portfolio development and college admissions guidance. Presently, she is the owner of Visual Shift Art Studio, creating sculptural artwork and designs involving botanical arrangements. Adriance-Cordeiro will be teaching a Spring RISD Continuing Education course in acrylic painting techniques at the Westerly Education Center (Westerly, RI).
Joye Whitney, RISD | CE / Floral CoLab is the Founder and Creative Director of the Floral CoLab. She has worked across non-profit, education and floral design industries and is currently a project manager at DESIGNxRI, a marketing, economic development, and networking resource for designers in Rhode Island. She has taken and contributed to Continuing Education floral design classes at the Rhode Island School of Design and works as a part-time freelance designer. Joye was recognized by Providence Monthly magazine as one of the “Ten to Watch" in 2016.
Dennis DelSignore brings more than 20 years of experience to his work as Creative Director at Stoneblossom Floral and Event Design in Warren, RI. He has worked alongside Preston Bailey and Daniel Ost and contributed to installations both domestic and abroad. Dennis has taught Continuing Education classes at the Rhode Island School of Design and has presented at Rhode Island based gardens clubs, museums and private events.

Elise Francesca Fargnoli is a RISD | CE instructor, and plans RISD Continuing Education courses held at the Westerly Education Center. Fargnoli is a painter and textile designer who has shown her work in Miami, London, Los Angeles and New York. Join renowned materials dyer and fiber artist, Rhonda Fargnoli, to discover how to dye fabric and silk ribbon using botanicals that can be found right in your garden! You will be introduced to natural dyes such as cochineal, madder root, marigold, dahlia and osage.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to paint flowers using acrylic paints. Using a hands-on approach, you’ll learn the fundamentals of compositional structure, color theory, and critical thinking while painting various flowers.

Working with memory wire, tubing and a variety of vintage, Czech, and Japanese beads, you will create a stunning bangle to wear solo or in combination with other bracelets.
