Ally Maloney grew up in Connecticut and now resides in the East Bay of Rhode Island where she runs her design firm Maloney Interiors. With degrees in both interior design and yacht design and work experience with Derecktor Shipyard & Ted Hood Yachts, it is only natural that she found her niche specializing in yacht interiors and coastal residences.
Ally’s keen eye, creative flair and pursuit of style are evident in all of her projects. It has captured the attention of a vast list of clientele and has earned her and her firm recognition and awards, including “Best of Rhode Island” by RI Monthly Magazine.
Ally is very active in the design community; she is the Director at Large for the New England Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers and a Co-Chair of the ASID Rhode Island Design Community. Ally is also an active member of the Rhode Island Builders Association and sits on the Home Show committee as the Showhouse's lead interior designer.
Kim Valente is an interior designer who is passionate about creating spaces that reflect her client’s lifestyle and personality. With over a decade of experience in the industry, she has developed an eye for transforming both homes and offices. She knows the importance of listening to her clients and takes the time to understand their vision for the project.
Nathan J. Reynolds, CAPS, CLIPP
As the owner and principal designer of Insperiors, LLC – a Rhode Island based full-service residential interior design firm located at The Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, RI, Nathan J. Reynolds is passionate about all things design. Nathan incorporates his keen sense of timeless design principles and being selective with product trends—two important traits that set him apart. Nathan’s goal with every client is to help them Get Inspired—and have fun when designing their dream space.
For the past eight years, he has created numerous residential designs and remodel projects, specializing in kitchens and baths throughout New England in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Upon graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts in 2010, Nathan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. Nathan earned the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in February 2013. Recently, Nathan earned his Certified Living In Place (CLIPP) designation by The Living in Place Institute in July 2017.
Nathan J. Reynolds is a 2016 recipient of the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s NKBA 30 UNDER 30 award, which recognizes design professionals in the United States and Canada as outstanding professionals in the industry under the age of 30.
Nathan particularly enjoys the DESIGN + BUILD process of working with clients on remodeling projects—from defining the scope of work and finalizing the budget, to identifying the fun and exciting decisions and guiding material selections prior to the installation phase.
In 2012, he was awarded GOLD for the Residential Kitchen design category between $100,001.00 - $150,000.00 at the Contractor of the Year (CotY) 2012 Awards, Eastern Massachusetts Region by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). He won “Best of Houzz” in the Design Category consecutively in 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014 and in the Service Category in 2018 and 2016.
Nathan has been featured and published on Houzz.com in several design articles; “Bathroom Workbook: How Much Does a Bathroom Remodel Cost?” in March 2014 and in “The Top 10 Houzz Articles of 2014” and “15 Design Tips to Know Before Remodeling Your Bathroom” both in January 2015 and again in “Pro Spotlight: How to Maximize Your Space for Entertaining” in June 2017. Nathan was featured in January 2017 on HGTV.com in their article “15 Stylish Home Bars Squeezed Into Small Spaces” for two wet-bars he designed.
Nathan is an active member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s, Northern New England Chapter and is currently a member of the board as the Academic Relations Outreach Coordinator. Nathan spoke as part of the Voices From The Industry, VFTI series at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, KBIS 2017 in Orlando, Florida where he presented on social media in the kitchen and bath industry: “10 Things to do Weekly to Increase Your Social Following.” Nathan is an instructor in the Continuing Education program at Rhode Island School of Design, RISD|CE and teaches the Kitchen & Bath Design course this winter 2018 session and will again in the summer 2018 session. Nathan is currently working toward his Associate Kitchen & Bath Design, AKBD certification by the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
Laurie Seubert, an Interior Design Certificate Candidate at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), is the owner and principal designer of Blackbird Design Studio. A Warwick resident with nearly 30 years’ experience in financial services, Laurie studied business at the Community College of Rhode Island and Bryant College (now Bryant University) before reigniting her lifelong passion for interior design and entering RISD’s highly regarded program.
Laurie founded Blackbird Design Studio in 2014 with the belief that that there is at least one solution to every design challenge and a firm commitment to making interior design services accessible to everyone. Laurie’s unique combination of design skills and business acumen helps her create budget-friendly solutions that make her clients’ design dreams a reality.
